Alumni Program for Addiction
Continued support, community, and connection for those who have completed treatment at Simple Path Recovery. Your recovery does not end at discharge, and neither does our care.
South Florida Alumni Program for Addiction
Our South Florida alumni program for addiction is built for clients who have successfully completed treatment at Simple Path Recovery and want to keep their recovery strong long after they leave our doors. The program runs year-round and is open to every alum, whether you finished a partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient program or any part of our program. There is no fee to join, no waiting period, and no end date.
Recovery does not stop the day a treatment program ends. The weeks and months that follow discharge are when many people feel the most pressure, and the right community can be the difference between a single rough day and a return to active addiction. The alumni program bridges that gap by keeping you connected to the team, the peers, and the tools that helped you get sober in the first place.
You will find a community that has walked the same road, staff who already know your story, and a schedule of events and check-ins that keep recovery active in your daily life. Simple Path Recovery treats the whole person, not just the addiction, and the alumni program continues that approach for as long as you want to stay involved.

How Alumni Stay Connected After Treatment
Staying connected is the single biggest factor that protects long-term success after rehab. Members stay connected through regular check-ins, group chats, mentor pairings, and in-person events at our Pompano Beach center. Research backs this up: Those who actively participate in a structured program have significantly lower relapse rates in the first year out.
For some alumni, connection looks like showing up to a monthly dinner. For others, it looks like a quiet text exchange with a sponsor on a hard day. Both count. The program flexes to what each member actually needs, which is what makes it sustainable for the long haul.
The relationship between staff and clients does not end at discharge either. Therapists, case managers, and our alumni coordinator continue to recognize you, ask about your progress, and step in when you need guidance. You are not starting from zero with a new face every time you reach out.
Joining the Simple Path Alumni Association
Group therapy is one of the most powerful tools in veteran recovery. It works because it removes the isolation that addiction depends on. When you sit in a room with other veterans who have lived through similar deployments, similar losses, and similar struggles, you stop carrying it alone.
The Simple Path alumni association is open to every client who has successfully completed a treatment program with us
New members are invited to their first alumni meeting before they ever leave our care, so the transition into the alumni association is built into the discharge process. No application, no extra paperwork.
The alumni association hosts a regular calendar of events both in person at our Pompano Beach center and through a private digital platform that members can reach from anywhere.
New members are paired with an alumni mentor within their first month, which gives every newcomer a real person to call when life gets loud.
This is a place to build the accountability and sense of belonging that protect lasting recovery.
Many members describe the alumni association as a part of the treatment they did not know they needed until they had it.

How to Join the Alumni Program
At Simple Path Recovery, alumni membership begins the day you complete treatment. We invite you to your first alumni meeting before you leave, so the transition is built in and not something you have to figure out on your own.
The first step is simple. Show up to one event, one meeting, or one mentor call.
From there, we work with you to find the level of involvement that fits your life. Some alumni come weekly. Others check in once a quarter. Both belong here, and the door stays open either way.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Alumni Program
Below are the questions we hear most often from clients getting ready to join. If yours is not answered here, give us a call anytime.
Who qualifies for the Simple Path alumni program?
Any client who has successfully completed a treatment program at Simple Path Recovery is automatically eligible. This includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient graduates. There is no application process and no fee to join. If you finished your program with us, you are already in.
How long can I stay in the alumni program?
For life. There is no end date on alumni membership. Many of our most active members are several years into recovery and still attending events, mentoring newcomers, and joining group meetings. Continuing care research shows that interventions like alumni programs are more likely to produce the strongest long-term sobriety outcomes.
What if I moved away from South Florida after treatment?
You can still participate. The alumni program runs a private digital platform that gives out-of-state members access to virtual meetings, mentor calls, and recovery resources. We also help connect alumni to trusted local recovery networks wherever they live, so geography is never a barrier to staying connected.
Does the alumni program cost anything?
No. Membership in the Simple Path alumni association is free for every client who completes treatment with us. Some optional retreats or recreational outings may carry a small cost, but core programming, meetings, mentorship, and staff access are all included at no charge.
What happens if I relapse while in the alumni program?
You call us. The alumni program is designed for exactly these moments, and a relapse does not remove you from the community. Our team will help you figure out the next right step, whether that means a quick reset with a counselor, a return to outpatient care, or something more structured. There is no judgment and no waiting list for alumni who need help.
